Additional Puppy Information
Puppies are fed BENEFUL HEALTHY PUPPY / PURINA PUPPY CHOW blend (half & half) on a FREE feeding schedule. I have found this gives families more flexibility in feeding in the beginning and is the easiest way to give new puppy families the ability to transition to scheduled feedings. If freely fed from the start they are less likely to overeat, however this is not always the case.
We begin working on puppy pad and crate training at about 3 weeks. This makes housebreaking your new pup easier. We use a GO HERE attractant sprayed in the center of puppy pads.
We have done our best to socialize your puppy with as many things as safely possible. At minimum your puppy has been socialized with children of different ages, normal household sounds (except vacuum cleaners), cats, and other Dachshunds.
The Breeder has taken every care with breeding, rearing, and welfare of the litter. The puppy is believed to be in good health and sold in good faith. The Breeder makes no warranty however, as to long-term health and disposition of individual puppy. Every effort has been made to avoid any possible inherited conditions.
Buyer's right to return puppy in the case of defect.
The buyer(s) shall have 72 hours to have puppy examined by a practicing Veterinarian and shall have the right during period not exceeding 24 hours after such examination to return puppy to breeder due to defect (other than described in section A below).

Upon receipt of written veterinarian report, breeder will offer buyer(s) the following options. Option choice and all related details must be documented on separate page with buyers signature and date.
- Immediate exchange for an alternate currently available puppy or puppy from a future litter if there are none currently available.
- Reasonable resolution signed & dated by BOTH Breeder & Buyer including all relevant details documented separately from this contract with two signed and dated copies.
Should it become necessary, buyer(s) should be aware returning of a puppy can be difficult, especially emotionally, and having drawn the buyer(s) attention to this, the breeder cannot be held responsible for any distress caused by returning of the puppy.
Buyer(s) is/are strongly advised to take puppy to their vet within 72 HOURS of completed purchase & taking possession of their puppy for a general check (noting puppy’s condition & health), advice on vaccinations, deworming, & other health related recommendations.
It is assumed that the puppy will be received on RTG date or within one week (7 days) after RTG date. Breeder reserves the right to charge an added $25 fee per week, after ONE week beyond RTG date. Unless otherwise requested, arranged, & noted in contract.

Rehoming of Dog/Puppy
Buyer(s)____ ______ agree that if at any stage in the puppy/dog's life, the Buyer(s) needs to rehome the puppy/dog, the Breeders will be the first to be informed and the Buyers(s) will, if the Breeder requests, return the dog to the breeder. The breeder will always be willing to help, if necessary, with the re-homing of any puppy/dog they have bred, for whatever reason, throughout the dog's lifetime.
Photo/Media Consent

Showing or Breeding
If showing or breeding, buyer agrees to share any significant information such as genetic, health, breeding, or temperament information that is discovered with the breeder. Buyer also agrees to inform breeder of show performance.
Updates
While not required it is appreciated and requested that you share periodic updates on how your pup is doing. This can be in the form of a quick text or email with pictures or videos. Some of the updates you may want to share would be milestones, accomplishments, successes, or even set backs or challenges. To make it easier to identify your pup in my records please provide your name, pup’s name, litter name and litter birthdate.
Buyer(s) confirms having read and received a full explanation of all details and meanings of this contract prior to purchase & fully understand its purpose and reason.
